Wood Saw Operator

Our client is seeking qualified Saw Operators to join their team in Putnam, CT!

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Starting Rate: $18.38/Hr.

Saw Operator Essential Functions:

• Read and interpret work orders for proper unitizing/bundling post-cutting.
• Communicate with forklift operators to ensure proper stock delivery to the machine center.
• Set up saw using tape measure to ensure accurate dimensions.
• Complete production logs and document material flow, deliveries, and machine operations.
• Conduct first-piece and line-clearance inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Use control charts and statistical data to adjust and optimize equipment settings.
• Demonstrate operational procedures to support training of team members.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform necessary equipment adjustments.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Ability to pass criminal background check
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Familiar with quality control gauges, jigs, and measurement devices
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, tooling, and quality control processes
• Safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures and uphold standards
