Job Description

Local Manufacturing facility located in Webster, MA is seeking a qualified Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team.

Schedule: 6:30am-3:00pm

Starting Hourly Rate: $20.00-$22.00/hr.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Summary:

Facilitate the handling of incoming and outgoing shipments within the production facility. Ensure materials and products are received, processed, and dispatched in a timely manner, contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of the facility.

Shipping & Receiving Clerk Essential Duties:

  • Create tallies, labels, and other documentation for all shipments.
  • Shipping & Pre-label pickups for consumer goods.
  • Create BOLs for all shipments.
  • Maintain daily returns log.
  • Provide disposition of returns in a timely manner
  • Maintain shipping/ receiving information board.
  • Perform daily QC checks for each load.
  • Maintain daily receiving log. Work closely with purchasing to discuss any shortages.
  • Coordinate intercompany shipments among all facilities.
  • Place Orders
  • Document raw material quality issues and share feedback with appropriate personnel

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping/receiving administrative or laborer role
  • Proficiency level use of Outlook Email, Word and Excel.
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety conscious
  • Follow company policies and procedures in all tasks assigned.
  • Ability to walk, talk, climb, balance, lift (up to 50 pounds) and bend
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Must have the ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must have the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
