Job Description

Our client is seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Mechanic to join their team in Millbury, MA.

This is a temp to hire position with a growing company that will offer years of growth.

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Starting Rate: $20.00-$25.00/Hr (DOE)

Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Duties:

  • Sets up and operates machines such as drill presses, shears, bending rolls, grinders, and CNC machines such as punch press and a press brake
  • Shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications.
  • Follows blueprints, rough sketches, and engineer drawings to shape metal accurately.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment operation
  • Experience with various sheet metal materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and copper
  • Ability to accurately measure and cut sheet metal using hand tools and power tools
  • Skilled in joining sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, bolting, or riveting techniques
