Quality Assurance Technician

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining product quality? We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team!

Schedule: 1st shift

Starting Rate: $18.00/Hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify raw materials and food contact ingredients comply with labels and customer specifications.
• Perform sensory evaluations on raw materials and finished products.
• Assist in product release, ensuring compliance with pre-shipment guidelines.
• Monitor and review documentation such as logbooks, cleaning logs, and environmental data.
• Ensure batch records and verifications are accurate and complete.
• Investigate and document non-conforming materials, implementing hold procedures as necessary.
• Conduct visual inspections of finished products.
• Support process control steps including GMP, temperature checks, weights, and label accuracy.
• Assist in compliance with USDA, FSIS, FDA, and other regulations.
• Collaborate with all departments to identify and resolve operational issues affecting quality or safety.
• Maintain quality assurance databases, reports, and files.
• Perform timely batch production record reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in quality assurance or a related field
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for working cross-functionally with various departments.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, GMP, and FDA/USDA compliance standards is a plus.
• Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
• Frequently exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
