Production Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced Printing Manufacturing Facility.

Starting Rate: $20.00+

Schedule(s):

• 1st shift: 6am – 2pm
• 2nd shift: 2pm – 10pm
• 3rd shift: 10pm – 6am

Production Associate Job Duties:

• Set up and changeover Press per the standards of the current job
• Work together as a 2-unit team and concentrate talents from Press to Press to ensure maximum efficiency on the production floor
• Observe all quality parameters, such as the condition of installed cylinders, paper quality as it processes through the press, and overall attention to detail of the printed- paper
• Set up incoming rolls of paper on the Press for printing and make a high-quality splice for the cutover roll transfer
• Remove, via fork truck, the finished printed roll without causing damage to the equipment and or rolls being processed
• Wrap, weigh and properly label finished rolls for shipment
• Pre-cut paper wraps and cores for current or incoming orders
• Empty waste and trash trucks into compactor as needed.
• Check incoming orders and stage and/or load the Press with the correct width impression rollers/sleeves.
• Clean any parts or production utensils in the washroom as needed.
• Operator rewinder as needed.
• Ensure information is clearly and precisely communicated to the incoming shift
• All required paperwork and labeling must be completed within the timeframe of the shift and is completed prior to leaving. (viscosities, labels and measurement sheets)
• Clean floors and press area to ensure it is neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned

Production Associate Skills & Requirements:

• Previous Production/Operator Experience Required
• Previous experience working in the printing industry a plus
• Ability to read,write and speak English
• Ability to perform basic math skills (Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs)
