Mechanical Designer

Our client located in Marlborough, MA is seeking a qualified Mechanical Designer to join their team.

Hourly Rate: $38.00-$45.00 (Depending on experience)

Mechanical Designer Summary: The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing acceptance of newly designed Custom LCD Displays as well as supporting peripheral hardware.

Mechanical Designer Job Duties:

• Making mechanical alterations to our existing products utilizing the Engineering Change Order (ECO) Process.
• Play an integral part in the generation of engineering documentation to support the product which includes mechanical drawings, product assembly procedures, bill of materials and the generation of engineering prototypes all while in accordance with our customer’s specifications and our ISO 9000 Standards.
• Interface with vendors to ensure product compliancy.

Qualifications:

• Must have at a minimum, 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience.
• Proficient in the use of Solid Works software.
• Strong computer background utilizing Microsoft-based programs.
• Familiar with sheet metal design, mounting hardware, adhesives, cutting tools and methods in addition to various metal and plastic compounds.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift 25 Lbs.
