Material Handler Fork Truck Driver

Our client is seeking a Material Handler/Fork Truck Driver to join their team in Worcester, MA!

Schedule: 6:00am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Starting Rate: $18.00-$22.00/Hr.

Material Handler Fork Truck Driver Job Summary: Involves receiving, moving, and storing materials within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading vehicles, using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Job Duties:

• Receiving shipments, checking for damages, verifying quantities, and unloading freight using appropriate equipment
• Moving materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, participating in cycle counts, and ensuring materials are properly tagged and stored
• Delivering and retrieving supplies to and from work areas
• Adhering to safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and cleaning up spills and debris
• Entering information into computer systems related to material movement and inventory
• Inspecting materials for quality and defects
• Preparing materials for shipment, including packing, labeling, and loading

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have previous Material Handling/Fork Truck experience
• Experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory management
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
• Ability to lift and move materials throughout warehouse
