Color Lab Shift Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Color Lab Shift Supervisor to join our client's dynamic production team in Farmington,CT.

In this critical role, you will support the Lab Manager by coordinating with mixing operators on pending orders and assisting Quality Technicians with testing and approving colors for active production jobs. This is a hands-on position that requires a keen eye for color, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Shift Supervisor in organizing the color mixing team for pending and active orders
• Conduct hands-on color matching with engineering resins using customer-supplied samples (parts, chips, and/or material)
• Assist Quality Technicians in testing product quality and ensuring colors meet specifications
• Adjust and correct colors in real-time during production
• Operate and interpret results from a spectrophotometer for accurate color measurement
• Ensure plant operations are running safely, efficiently, and within color specifications
• Collaborate with Production Supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and safety

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Excellent color vision (a test will be administered)
• Proficient in using a spectrophotometer and interpreting color measurement data
• Strong multitasking abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Effective communicator with the ability to provide clear direction
• Team player with a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
• Creative thinker with attention to detail
• Strong math skills, above average preferred
• Reliable with excellent attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed
• A desire to be part of a winning team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
