Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Front-End Loader Operator to join our team. This position is perfect for farm hands or individuals with experience operating farm equipment, especially those who have worked with Kubota tractors or similar machinery.
Starting Rate: $20.00/Hr.
Schedule: (hours will vary during busy spring season)
1st shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
2nd shift: Monday-Friday 4:00pm – 12:30am
Job Summary: This position involves working in a dusty, outdoor/indoor environment, handling large quantities of raw materials, including chemical fertilizers, using a front-end loader. The Front End Loader operator will be responsible for feeding raw materials into hoppers, loading outbound trucks and railcars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a front-end loader to scoop and load raw materials (e.g., chemical fertilizers) into hoppers and other designated areas.
- Ensure an adequate and continuous supply of material into hoppers, floor bins, and elevators, maintaining operational efficiency throughout shifts.
- Load outbound trucks and railcars with SCU (Standard Chemical Units) to fulfill shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of the front-end loader, including minor maintenance (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operational safety checks).
- Maintain the loader in a clean, sanitary condition, ensuring it is free of material build-up and dust. Clean the work area regularly to minimize hazards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy machinery, particularly in environments with high volumes of materials, is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine loader inspections and maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight], operate machinery for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a dusty and dirty environment.
- Comfortable working in both outdoor and indoor settings, in a dusty, noisy, and high-traffic environment with railcars and dump trucks.
