Are you ready to take on a challenging role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We’re looking for motivated and skilled Extrusion Operators & Manufacturing Associates to join our client’s team in the Greater New Haven area!

12-hour shifts:

  • 6:00p.m.-6:00 a.m. (4-day work weeks)

Pay Rates:

  • Extrusion Operators: $23.00+/Hr.
  • Manufacturing Associates: $18.00-$19.00/Hr.

As an Extrusion Operator/Manufacturing Associate you will play a key role in starting and operating a thermoplastic extruder and related production equipment to convert polyurethane resins into high-quality blown film for elastomeric plastic sheeting and tubing.

Responsibilities:

  • Start and set up extruder equipment, slitting stations, and winders based on product and customer requirements. Adjust settings to meet film specifications.
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of film quality. Identify and address non-conformities in collaboration with Supervisors.
  • Handle die changes and general extrusion functions, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.
  • Accurately record extruder setup data and other relevant information.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment, adhere to ISO Quality Management System policies, and follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Verify raw materials and blended resins per formula and ensure proper material handling and safety practices.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred. Familiarity with blown-film extruder operation and machinery requiring die changes is a plus.
  • Basic math, computer skills, ability to use hand tools, and knowledge of digital micrometers, rulers, and tape measures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 60 lbs independently, and perform various manual tasks. Must be able to climb a three-story staircase.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
  • Proof of full or in-process COVID-19 vaccination required.
  • Knowledge of polyurethane (TPU) film is a bonus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
