Customer Service Representative
Job Description
Local distribution company is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team.
Schedule: 9:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Starting Rate: $22.00-$25.00/Hr.
Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its customers. This role involves addressing inquiries, managing orders, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the order fulfillment process. The Customer Service Representative will work closely with the production, logistics, and sales teams to ensure that customers' needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Essential Duties:
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding products, services, and order status.
- Provide clear and timely responses to customer questions and concerns related to packaging products or services.
- Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely delivery by coordinating with the production and logistics teams
- Track orders through the fulfillment cycle, providing customers with status updates on shipment and delivery
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on customer service activities, product issues, and order statuses
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's product offerings, including types of packaging materials, specifications, and industry standards
- Office-based role, with occasional interactions on the production floor
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Customer Service Role within the manufacturing or packaging industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, industry standards, and supply chain processes is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
